Reef

Reef — Gesamtansicht
The Reef is my personal sandbox. For the past two years, it’s been the place where I feel free to experiment with ideas, shapes and movements — often the starting point for larger, standalone sculptures. The goal is a ten-meter-wide wall full of life and movement. I share the project publicly on Patreon so others can build their own version.

Anemoforms — O2
Anemoforms is a series of design objects inspired by the growth dynamics of coral reefs. The sculptures unfold organic, sculptural forms that echo the architecture of marine structures — reinterpreting natural processes and translating the aesthetics of the ocean into objects for interior space. These pieces grew out of the Reef — mechanisms and movements I found especially compelling, scaled up and turned into standalone sculptures.
O2 — 2025
Born out of Module 02 of the Reef. More than 500 moving parts create a hypnotically moving surface that invites viewers to relax and dream.
O9 — 2025
One of my proudest pieces. Inspired by the movement of anemones in water currents — I’m currently working on different, bigger versions of this concept.
Kinetic Ray — Prototype 3
Kinetic Ray translates the essence of a ray into an abstract, mechanical body — a streamlined form, almost automotive in its lines, that moves slowly and deliberately rather than fast. The tension between its sharp silhouette and its calm, restrained motion is the whole point: power expressed through stillness, not speed.
Coral Structures — Gesamtansicht
Coral Structures are larger, wall-mounted pieces built from reef-inspired forms grown together into one structure. Each version explores its own shape and color combination — new versions can be made to order in custom colors and forms.

Airborne Adornments
Airborne Adornments represents the completion of my studies. The goal was to move beyond the idea of a simple toy and create a flying companion. The work is not conceived as a functional object, but as a sculptural expression of imagination and personality. Inspired by the quiet elegance of natural movement, the sculpture fills the space with presence — an anchor for imagination that invites the viewer into an alternative reality.

Ich bin
Tobias.
